Alexander the Great
Alexander the Great was born in Pella, Son of Philip of Macedon and Olympias, he became king of Macedonia. As a student of Aristotle in Pella; Leonidas and Lysimachus. Alexander was trained in every branch of human learning. Upon his father’s death he was crowned king at age 19. he and his legions captured a good part of the world, including, the Persian Empire of Syria, Mesopotamia, Persia and finally India on his great horse Bucephalus. he was more than a conqueror— in a short timeline,he diffused the language and civilization of Greece to much of the known world, resulting in the Hellenistic culture. Married twice: Roxana of Bactria and Stateria of Persia. At only 33, Alexander the Great died in Babylon of unknown causes. Historians have speculated that Alexander poisoning, typhoid fever and simply excessive drinking.
